Sometimes even a progressive rock group needs some time apart from tricky time-signatures, 20 minutes long progressive symphonic rock epics. We needed this too, so, while the serious 3rd Yesterdays album is being mixed, we wrote and recorded this song in a few days. It was a quick studio project with Stephanie Semeniuc's soulful lead and backing vocals, Fehér Róbert Benjámin's acoustics and Bogáti-Bokor Ákos' multiinstrumental madness (bass, drums, flute, guitars, keyboards).
Wearing our influences on our shirts... Lenny Kravitz, John Mayer, Steely Dan, Hall and Oates... just to name a few... so, it's a pop song with seventies sound, brass sections, cool groove, flutes.
Take a chance on this song, take it with you, and if you like it, keep watching this CDBABY space for more music in 2018. Thanks for stopping by!
lyrics
I guess you thought that I was a fool
for your success uohhooo I was a tool
and it's too late for me to discover
that you can't judge a book by it's cover
But I know now where I belong
sitting next to nothing all alone
it's not the end of the world
Sometimes I wonder how you sleep at night
It's not quite a rule but nothing's just black or white
There are plenty shades and monsters in your head
And you can't hide from them underneath your bed
But I know now where you belong
you keep on saying things
but I can't hear nothing at all
did you know this right from the start?
that it might just tear us apart?
your shame is like a sting in your heart
what you've done was state-of-the-art
But I know now where I belong
a brand new day is coming
it's not the end of the world

If you're a fan of progressive rock, Big Big Train is one of the best modern bands around. Complex yet still melodic, this album is full of interesting stories and tales that paint a fantastic picture of the Britain of yesteryear.
This is also over two hours of music for the price. It's more than worth it! Johnicus

These guys have horns and cellos, and they're not afraid to use them. If you're looking for a Yes or Genesis clone you're out of luck, but if you want a band who take the time to stretch out and give a song time to develop you're in luck.
I'm going to change my mind about my favourite track regularly.
Oh, and flutes.
